Barcelona sit top of LaLiga with 21 points from seven matches, five clear of Atletico Madrid in second, and the mood around the club reflects a team building genuine momentum. A 3-1 win at Sevilla before the international break, reported across recent coverage, underlined their title credentials and gave Hansi Flick's squad a strong platform heading into the October fixtures.

The international break brought one scare: Raphinha picked up a thigh concern while away on duty. But medical tests cleared the Brazilian winger of serious damage, removing what could have been a significant blow to Flick's attacking options. He is available for Saturday's home fixture against Getafe at Spotify Camp Nou, a match Barcelona will be expected to win as they look to extend their lead at the summit.

Beyond the table, Lamine Yamal continues to generate extraordinary attention. Former Golden Boy winner Anderson told GOAL there is simply no one close to the teenager in world football right now, while Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta admitted the youngster's rise is "not normal," drawing comparisons to witnessing Lionel Messi emerge. Yamal himself acknowledged his age may count against him in the Ballon d'Or vote, suggesting voters might feel he has time, though his confidence in eventually winning the award was clear. Off the pitch, the Negreira case continues to simmer, with Liga president Javier Tebas attacking Real Madrid TV over what he called false claims about the scandal's ongoing impact.
