The USMNT are in excellent form and building real momentum under Mauricio Pochettino, with a run of three consecutive wins that has defined a promising post-World Cup rebuild. The fall international window produced back-to-back victories over South American opposition, a 4-1 win over Peru and a 4-2 defeat of Chile, before the squad capped the period with a 1-0 friendly win over Canada. The results have given Pochettino genuine confidence heading into competitive action.

The story of this camp has been the emergence of a new generation. Mathis Albert, the 17-year-old Borussia Dortmund starlet, became the youngest scorer in USMNT history in the modern era after coming off the bench against Chile, surpassing a long-standing record held by Christian Pulisic. Julian Hall has been equally electric across the window, contributing goals and energy that have raised expectations around the squad's youth core. Sebastian Berhalter scored and assisted in both South American friendlies, cementing himself as a key figure in Pochettino's plans.

Off the pitch, World Cup captain Tim Ream announced his retirement from international duty after 86 caps and 16 years with the national team, closing a significant chapter in USMNT history. Meanwhile, AC Milan are planning a contract extension for Christian Pulisic through 2031, keeping the senior star's club future stable. The USMNT now turn their attention to a CONCACAF Nations League trip to Haiti on November 9, where Pochettino will want this confidence to carry into competitive football.
