As stated, you can utilize the sign up code BETGO during your registration to claim the Betway registration offer.
Here is a straightforward step-by-step guide on how to apply this code and successfully claim the welcome bonus:
- Go to the Betway South Africa website and hit the Sign Up button on the home page in the upper right corner.
Next, the registration form will pop up on your screen. Fill in your mobile phone number, full name, email, and desired account password.
Enter the sign up code BETGO to the field labeled "I Have a Sign Up Code". Once you've entered the code, click the "Next" button.
On the following page of the registration form, input your birth date, source of funds for betting, and preferred language. Then, select the ID type (national ID or passport) and input the relevant ID number.
Choose the sports welcome bonus.
- Click Register. Once your account is live, go to Deposit Funds and choose one of Betway's South African payment methods.
- Place your qualifying wager of at least R50. For a sports bet this means 5 legs at total odds of 3.0 or higher, on settled bets, with cash out excluded. On a crash game such as Aviator, a win at 1.5x or higher counts.
- Your welcome pack is credited once the qualifying wager settles. The bonuses appear on 12 Masks of Fire Drums™ and Aviator and can take up to 10 minutes to reflect.
To activate the sign-up offer, you can claim your Coupon welcome pack, which includes an R10 extra bet, 10 bonus spins + 10 free flights.

⚽ Tips of the Week: Place Your First Bet!
Croatia vs Spain — October 6, 2026
- Bet on Spain to win at 1.28 with Betway.
Tuesday's 20:45 clash at Poljud Stadium in Split features Group C leaders Spain visiting third-placed Croatia. Zlatko Dalić's host side enters in poor form, losing their last two matches and conceding 11 goals, including a 4-1 defeat in last week's reverse fixture. Luis de la Fuente's visitors lead the group with nine points and are on a 10-match winning streak. Missing key defender Marin Pongračić to suspension, Croatia face a tough challenge against an in-form Spanish squad.
📈 Compare this offer with others in the market
Operators | First Deposit Match Amount | Free Bet Amount | Free Spins Amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Betway | N/A | R10 | 10 |
| Betfred | R5,000 | X | X |
| Hollywoodbets | X | R25 | R50 |
| Supabets | X | R50 | X |
Betfred provides a more substantial deposit match amount compared to Betway's fixed welcome pack. Nonetheless, the Betway bonus remains one of the top competitive welcome offers for local players due to its unique inclusion of free flights and the massive R1,000,000 Mega Prize potential.
Many may also argue that Hollywoodbets offers both a sports betting and casino bonus, but new Betway players can consider themselves fortunate too. They can also claim an exclusive casino welcome bonus. That way, the bookie caters to players with various preferences.

Tailored Strategy: How Should You Use the Welcome Pack?
The Casual Beginner: Maximizing Bonus Spins & Flights
If you are new to sports betting or online casinos, prioritize the 10 free spins and 10 free flights. These require zero advanced betting knowledge. Winnings from your bonus spins can be rolled over on low-volatility slot games to secure a modest, real-cash balance without risking your own capital early on.
The High-Roller: Targeting the R1,000,000 Mega Prize
The R1,000,000 MEGA prize is a casino promotion, not a sportsbook one. It triggers at random during real-money play on selected slots, so no amount of sports betting brings it closer. If it is what you are after, the welcome pack's 10 bonus spins are your entry point, and any further attempts come out of your own balance. Treat it as a lottery ticket attached to normal slot play rather than a target you can work toward.

🏁 Our Expert Opinion

What do you think about the Betway bonus?
I think the Betway bonus for both bettors and casino players is great, but I feel some sort of bias towards the casino players. Why do the new casino players get up to 100 free spins while sports bettors now get a Coupon welcome pack with an R10 extra bet, 10 bonus spins, and 10 free flights? Although, the chance to trigger a MEGA Promotional Prize of R1,000,000 certainly ups the ante for everyone! And you can only pick one of the two!
The two welcome offers aren't directly comparable. The sports pack is small in cash terms but the conditions are light: no wagering requirement on the R10 extra bet, and 180 days to use it once credited. The casino side gives up to 100 bonus spins but attaches 30x wagering inside a 30-day window. Low value with easy terms against higher value with harder terms. The real cost on the sports side isn't the wagering, it's the entry ticket: a qualifying R50 bet at total odds of 3.0 across five legs is not a beginner's bet slip.
What do you like about Betway?
I like the sports betting section because there is so much variety for players. Besides having 25+ sports to bet on, the individual betting options are very extensive and it makes so much sense. So, if you are tired of the regular moneyline bets, there are good props and handicaps for you.
To which type of player would you suggest Betway?
Betway is most suitable for football fans because the brand has strong ties with the sport. They have business deals with clubs like West Ham, Arsenal, Brighton, and even Manchester City. So, expectedly, some features on the platform are biased towards football.

❓ FAQ
How much bonus can I get with the Betway sign up code in October 2026?
With the code “BETGO” you receive a welcome pack of an R10 extra bet, 10 bonus spins and 10 free flights, credited once you have placed a qualifying R50 wager. Casino players can instead use “WAYBETTER” for a bundle of up to 100 Bonus Spins through Spin Gifts. The two welcome offers cannot be combined.
Can existing customers also use the Betway welcome offer, or is it for new customers only?
The code BETGO is solely for new players. Your welcome offers stay on your Betway home page for 7 days after registration, and once the R10 extra bet is credited you have 180 days to use it before it expires.
Does Betway have a license in South Africa?
Yes. Betway operates through two licensed entities: Eastern Dawn Sports (Pty) Ltd holds Bookmaker License No. 9-2-1-09658, regulated by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator, and Raging River Trading (Pty) Ltd holds Bookmaker License No. 10181496-012, regulated by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board.
Is the Betway Sign-Up Code Different From a Deposit Code?
Yes. A sign-up code (such as BETGO) is entered during your initial account registration to unlock the coupon welcome pack (including the extra bet, spins, and flights). In contrast, a deposit code is applied in the cashier section when topping up your balance to activate specific reload promotions or match-deposit events.
Why is My Betway Code Not Working?
If your Betway promo code is not registering, it is usually due to typographical errors, an expired promotion, or account eligibility issues.
